Welcome to the UMD and Tally systems homepage.
We delivered our first tally system back in 1986 which, like all TSL professional broadcast products, was developed as the result of a missing link in our day to day systems integration work.
Thousands of customers around the world rely on TSL tally and UMD systems.
Our solutions have progressed from simple relay-based tally management systems, through serial device control and networked systems to TallyMan which is our current studio control system. TallyMan has now superseded WinSoft which, whilst fully supported by TSL for upgrades and repair, is now discontinued.
The TSL UMD protocol is available free of charge, from this web-site, to enable easy integration with third party devices. The majority of multiviewer manfacturers now support TSL UMD protocol.
PLEASE NOTE: Users who have ESP-1R / ESP-1R+ units in their system (and purchased them before March 2009), must not upgrade the TallyMan Controller to firmware version higher than V1.67 without contacting TSL Products first.
