Julian Knight - Director of Systems
Julian started in systems integration in 1981 at the BBC, moving on to Sony in 1987. In 1989 he joined TSL, and was appointed as Systems Manager prior to becoming a Director. Julian's role means that he has overall responsibility for Systems Integration, with a pool of staff & subcontractors - from Project Managers to Junior Engineers. With a strong interest in TSL build standards, he sets systems staff working practices. Julian is also the correct contact for recruitment within systems.

Lionel Matthews - Head of Business of Development
Lionel is responsible for co-ordinating our response to all systems proposal requests. Lionel worked for Sony Broadcast for 14 years, initially in systems implementation where he managed a wide range of systems including OBs, Studios and transmission facilities. Latterly he worked in Proposals, travelling widely in Europe, the CIS and Africa, also spending 3 years in the Sony Dubai office.

Bruce MacGregor - Business Development Manager
Bruce joined TSL straight from college and can truly claim that he started out pushing a broom. Now working within the TSL systems team, he has handled a vast diversity of projects both in the UK and Internationally. In his spare time he mostly daydreams about having more spare time.

Geoff Bluestone - Senior Project Manager
Having joined EMI training back in the days of gas powered radios, Geoff moved on to installing television studios and working on outside broadcast vehicles. He moved on to Ampex, until they left the scene and is now doing more of the same at TSL and after more than 30 years, he is beginning to get the hang of it!

Steve Moore - Installation Manager
Steve began his working career as an apprentice at Link Electronics, then moved to the maintenance department of Quantel. He joined TSL in 1992 and has worked on nearly every major project from ABC to TVNZ. As Installation Manager, Steve’s role includes quality assurance, pricing and planning of resources for individual projects thus ensuring that all TSL projects meet their deadlines once on site.

Martin Dyster - Audio Applications Manager
Martin joined TSL in 1998 and is responsible for the design, integration and commissioning of the majority of TSL's audio and intercom systems. Whilst working closely with the proposals engineers in a consultative role, Martin aims to ensure that our customer's broadcast audio and comms requirements are understood and fulfilled.

Nick Smith - Project Engineer
Having gained a degree in Media Technology from Salford University, Nick worked as an Engineer in Professional AV Systems. From here Nick moved into the broadcast industry, joining the TSL Systems team as a Project Engineer.

Kris Whiteley - Business Developement Manager
Kris joined TSL in 2004 as another fresh faced Media Technology graduate from the University of Salford. His experiences so far with TSL have included TV over IP distribution in Spain and the BBC's first HD transmission system. Kris is also the current holder of the inaugural TSL systems dept Scaletrix challenge.

Phil Cooper - Project Engineer
Phil joined the TSL systems team in 2005 straight from a broadcast engineering degree at Salford University. As a project engineer, Phil’s role at TSL ranges from detailed design, and planning, to the installation and testing of broadcast systems both at TSL’s base in Maidenhead and on site.

Matthew Slater - Project Manager
Having worked for nine years at the BBC, Sony and Siemens, Matthew joined TSL in May 2006. He has delivered traditional studio, media asset management, news production, transmission and other networked broadcast systems to clients across Europe and the Middle East.
